Owen Au is the Founder of the Strategic China Policy Group and a Research Associate at the China Strategic Risks Institute. His research focuses on China’s maritime strategy and foreign relations, as well as political transformation and securitisation in Hong Kong. He previously engaged in political campaigns and policy research in Hong Kong following the enactment of the National Security Law and subsequent political restructuring, gaining first-hand insight into China’s expanding influence across the region.
